Keynote seminar speakers are a forty-five minute presentation on timely and relevant topics by industry professionals. The seminars are FREE to attend and are located in the Glen Carlson Hall.

Topics on the Hour are 30 minute presentations by our show vendors highlighting their product, services, or available technology. Topics on the Hour are held in the Glen Carlson Hall.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER BIOS:

Keith Olander, Executive Director of AgCentric
Keith Olander is the Executive Director of AgCentric, (a MN State Agricultural Center of Excellence). He also oversees strategic agricultural partnerships at Central Lakes College as a Dean of Agricultural Studies. As Executive Director of AgCentric, Keith’s major responsibilities are to augment the capacity and enrollment in comprehensive agricultural education from K-12, through postsecondary to industry. Workforce development includes building partnerships, developing seamless educational pathways, and informing audiences of the agricultural web that surrounds every person who enjoys a good meal and an environment that is sustainable.

Bethany Cross, Attorney, Rinke Noonan
A native of Bancroft, Iowa, Bethany graduated with a degree in legal studies. She obtained her law degree from the Mitchell Hamline College of Law where she was recognized on the Dean’s List and was the recipient of both the Wendy Watson Scholarship and the Warren A. Morrow Scholarship. Prior to joining Rinke Noonan, Bethany’s experience included eight years as a paralegal for a renewable energy contractor. It is equally important for her to teach her children the value of teamwork, problem solving, and collaboration. These simple life lessons have helped shape Bethany’s legal practice. The most basic life lessons can assist in the most complex legal transactions.

Haubenschild Family Farms
Haubenschild Farms is a 1,600-acre, family owned and operated dairy farm near Princeton, Minnesota. Their cows serve in the Miracle of Birth Center at the Minnesota State Fair each year. This sustainable, environmentally friendly farm is home to 2,500 dairy cattle and operated by a three-generation family. They are passionate about conservation, renewable energy, and food production. Haubenschild Family Farms has been awarded the Commissioner’s Good Farm Neighbor Award and the National Dairy Quality Award for their product and operations.

Lucas Sjostrom, Executive Director of Minnesota Milk and part-owner of Redhead Creamery
A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Animal Science program with a master’s degree in dairy management, Lucas Sjostrom is a respected leader in the dairy industry. As the executive director of Minnesota Milk, Sjostrom advocates for the dairy industry at the State Capitol and serves as the spokesperson for the organization as well as liaison to its many volunteer committees. Lucas and his wife Alise also own Redhead Creamery, a dairy farm and cheese-making operation in Brooten, Minnesota.
