Membership Testimonial: Jim Gruenke, Traut Wells, Inc.

“Improving community engagement was one of my goals when I started my current position.
We joined the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce over 20 years ago, and I used to track the leads we would receive
from that specific organization. I stopped counting when the client list exceeded 100 and our revenue was well into six figures,”
Gruenke said. “Just diversifying in the way we get those leads is a way to grow your business!”

On Your Behalf - Arm Chair Benefits
If you want to network, you attend events. If you want to promote your organization, you buy sponsorships or advertising. If you want to be on the cutting-edge, you attend educational programs. If you want to be knowledgeable about business issues, you read and research. You receive all of these benefits and more as a member of the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce.

But what if you don't have the time? What's the return on your membership investment? Plenty! For members who can't fit one more thing on their calendar or to-do list, we have what we call Arm Chair Benefits. These are membership perks that you receive even if the only thing you do each year is write out your membership check. For example:

  • Website Referrals - As a member you receive a free listing on the Chamber website. Our business directory has provided members with well over 1 million referrals in the past few years. Only members are listed in the online directory and that listing is included free with your membership.
  • Links from the Chamber Website - As part of your membership, you receive free links off the Chamber website when you provide us with your website address and social media links.
  • Job Bank Listings - Members can post job openings on our website and gain visibility from thousands of visitors who choose StCloudAreaChamber.com as their first stop when looking for information about the St. Cloud area.
  • Phone Referrals - We provide approximately 250 referrals per month to people who call the Chamber looking for business information... and we only refer members! For last month's total referral count, contact Shelly at the Chamber office or see Bottom Line.
  • Membership Directory - Only Chamber members are listed in our membership directory. We encourage businesses to use our Membership Directory and Buyers Guide as their primary phone book. It even includes specific contact names for each business.
  • Influence - You can call the mayor and area legislators. And when you do, you are one voice. When the Chamber of Commerce president calls, she has over 1,000 voices behind her. As a member of the Chamber, you are stronger and your voice is louder because you are part of the larger regional business community.

If you decide Chamber Connection or Lunchtime Learning need to wait, remember Arm Chair Benefits and rest assured that while you're taking care of business, your Chamber is taking care of you.

In Detail: Waite Park Chamber
The Waite Park Chamber exists as a place where business, education and government come together for the betterment of the community. A division of the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, the Waite Park Chamber was put into action in 2004 to meet the needs of the Waite Park business community. Since then, the division has continued to grow thanks to the dedicated volunteers and businesses that participate.

Each month a business or organization sponsors a meeting and gives a brief presentation. To meet our mission of bringing business, education and government together, meetings include brief updates from the City of Waite Park, School District 742 and the Chamber of Commerce. There is also time at the end of each meeting for announcements and testimonials from those in attendance. Attending meetings is a way to get involved with the issues that impact the community while enjoying all the traditional benefits of networking.

Attend the July 2019 Waite Park Chamber meeting!
All St. Cloud Area Chamber members are welcome to join us for Waite Park Chamber meetings on the third Wednesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. There is no cost to attend and lunch is provided by the sponsor when you register at least two days before the meeting. Deerwood Bank hosts the July 17 meeting on-site at 131 6th Avenue South, Suite 100, Waite Park, which includes a presentation on "Hiring Veterans and Veteran Programs," by Brad Steele, St. Cloud VA Health Care System. Register here by July 15.

If you are interested in participating in the Waite Park Chamber, contact chair David Vee, The Summit Team at Edina Realty.
