In 2004 the Chamber's Membership Division introduced a new competition to help boost membership and recognize those of you who encourage businesses to join the Chamber. Throughout the year we keep a tally of the leads that result in membership sales and have been acknowledging the providers regularly in Bottom Line. Join the fun!
To participate in the Each One Reach One competition, simply provide qualified leads to Membership Sales Specialist Wendy Franzwa between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011. A qualified lead includes the company name, contact name, and phone number of a potential member we do not already have in our database. When your lead turns into a membership sale, you’re in the running! The top challengers are announced throughout the year in Bottom Line, prizes are awarded to the top lead providers, and the winners will be included in the written program for the 2012 Star Studded Celebration.

2010-2011 Lead Contest Results
In a photo finish worthy of the best thoroughbreds, Bernie Perryman edged out Jim Beck, Minnesota School of Business, for the 2011 Each One Reach One membership title. The two had been in competition throughout the year, passing the sales baton back and forth. They entered August tied with five leads each. By mid-August it looked like the year would end in a tie when Jim came forward with another strong lead. As Wendy Franzwa worked with the new prospect, Bernie stepped up to the challenge and also provided a new lead. On August 31, as the contest still looked like it would end in a tie, Wendy opened her mail to find a signed contract and membership check that squeaked Bernie into the lead with six successful referrals.
With five successful leads this year, Jim brings his lifetime referral total to 24 Chamber members. He has placed in the top three for all six years in which he has participated in the competition. Part of Jim’s Each One Reach One success is that he makes it a point to buy from Chamber members and encourage non-members to join before he does business with them.
As a thank you, both Bernie and Jim will receive gift certificates donated by Ciatti’s Ristoranté.
