St. Cloud Area Business Gives is intended to engage businesses in contributing to, and being involved in, the community, and to publicly recognize that commitment.
Businesses are recognized that give cash and/or in-kind contributions to charitable organizations amounting to two percent or more of their pretax earnings. The program is based on the Minnesota Keyston Program Standard, criteria established in 1976 by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Participation in Business Gives programs, sponsored by local chambers of commerce and coordinated by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, provides an opportunity to present a uniform and comprehensive picture of how businesses contribute to the quality of life in our communities.
St. Cloud Business Gives is an excellent way for businesses to share their stories and be recognized with their peers. Best of all, because recognition is based on the percent of income given in cash and in-kind donations, businesses that give $1,000 each year can receive the same recognition as one that contributes $10,000.
Congratulations to our 2009 St. Cloud Area Business Gives participants
2009 St. Cloud Area Business Gives participants receive a congratulatory letter from Governor Tim Pawlenty.
Enroll Now for 2010. Any business or professional association (corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship) that is a member of the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce is welcome to participate.
To enroll, a business must certify that during its most recently completed fiscal year it gave at least two percent of its pretax earnings in cash and/or in-kind contributions to charitable organizations. Certification is based on a written declaration by the company’s chief executive or financial officer. The only information about participant that will be publicly released is the name, type of business, and location.
St. Cloud Area Chamber Business Gives does not report contributed amounts, nor does it audit for compliance. The honor system prevails.
